Aluminium windows: why choose a thermal break?
Under the Tunisian sun as in winter, a thermal break transforms the comfort of a home. Here is why.

Aluminium is an excellent conductor: without precautions, it lets heat in during summer and cold in during winter. A thermal break separates the outer and inner faces of the profile with insulating polyamide strips.
The benefits
- Comfort: the inner side of the frame stays temperate, with no cold-wall effect.
- Savings: less air conditioning in summer, less heating in winter.
- Less condensation on the frames.
Glazing matters as much as the frame
Pair your profiles with double glazing: two panes separated by an air or argon gap. For highly exposed façades, low-emissivity glass limits the greenhouse effect.
What about sealing?
EPDM gaskets and brush seals on sliding panels ensure air and water tightness, plus better acoustic comfort — a real plus in town or near a road.
Our advice
For large sliding doors opening onto a terrace or a pool, a thermal break is an investment you feel from the very first summer. Ask us for a comparative quote.
